ABOUT VISHESH FILMS

Vishesh Films was started in 1928 by Nanabhai Bhatt and is one of the oldest and illustrous production houses in the Indian Film Industry. It has contributed for 84 years in the 100 year old Indian Cinema and currently run by the third generation of Bhatt family. The production house has released more than 57 films till date, the highest by any production house in India till date.

MAHESH BHATT
Film and Television Director, Producer, Screenwriter, Author, Playwright & Philosopher

Mahesh Bhatt made more than 40 films as a director. His directorial career consists of acclaimed movies like Arth, Saraansh, Janam, Naam, Sadak, Daddy and Zakhm as well as commercial blockbusters like Aashiqui, Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin, Sadak and Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke.
His films have won about 18 Filmfare Awards and 4 National Awards. Saraansh was India’s official submission for the Academy Awards in 1985, while Zakhm won the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Award on National Integration. 
He has also written major films like Gangster, Raaz, Woh Lamhe and Hamaari Adhuri Kahaani (also adapted as a book).
He directed highly successful TV Series – Swabhimaan and Kabhie Kabhie. He also co-directed the 1st English TV series produced in India – Mouthful of Sky. 
He has been called ‘Daddy Cool’ of India by Vogue India magazine.

Chairman of Vishesh Films

Mukesh Bhatt started his career in 1970. He set up Vishesh Films in 1986. His 1st film as a producer was Jurm in 1990.
He has produced such as Aashiqui, Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin, Ghulam, Raaz, Jannat, Murder, Jannat 2, Raaz 2, Murder 2, Raaz 3, Aashiqui 2 and many more over the years  and established himself as one of the most profitable producers in the industry.

He has won numerous Filmfare Awards and Star Guild Awards. He has been recognised by the Swiss government for putting their country on the global map by shooting various films there. He won the MixxMedia Cross Culture Award, presented by the government of Bulgaria.

Vishesh Bhatt studied filmmaking from Tisch School of Arts, NYU & USC. Currently at 31 years of age, he heads creatives and marketing of the films produced and is responsible for all digital initiatives of the company.

Vishesh wrote Jannat at the age of 22 and the film went on to become a blockbuster. He also directed the superhit Murder 3 when he was 27 years old. He is currently working on his next directorial venture, an untitled love story. He was recently invited to Harvard Business School to speak on the Changing Landscape of Bollywood & Bollywood Beyond India.

SAKSHI BHATT

Sakshi has studied International Business Management from Regent Business School, London and joined the company four years ago. At 27, she is currently the Associate Producer at Vishesh Films.
